April 22nd-26th Deals

ShiftMed acquires Careerstaff MSP - Healthcare Staffing.
The intrigue of this deal, beyond the great merge of talent platforms and service providers, is the seven year service agreement that Genesis has locked in as part of their divestiture of Careerstaff.

Wonderschool acquires substitute teacher staffing platform - Education Staffing.
Wonderschool acquires a substitute teacher platform after the two firms partnered in 2023. Wonderschool appears to be expanding their services into many childcare professionals from daycare, home care, and education. 

GEE Group commits to buying growth - Staffing News.
There is no acquisition announcement here. Just GEE Group making it known they are going to buy some companies this year to combat a downward trend in their (and many other staffing co's) performance. 

OneDigital acquires Lyons HR - HR Services.
OneDigital expands its PEO division by adding a southeast based HR service provider, Lyons HR. 

Daxtra Acquires PivotCX - HR Tech.
I like this for Daxtra. They expand how their technology engages with recruiters. A candidate communication tool like PivotCX can make it easier to take action on the Daxtra driven candidate insights within one platform vs. relying on sharing Daxtra data with other third party integrated tools. 

Staffing Solutions Enterprises Acquires Pittsburgh-Based B&V Staffing - IT Staffing.
SSE acquires a Pittsburgh based IT staffing tuck-in to expand their geographic footprint and get a head start on a newer market for them.

Cenergy acquired by First Tek - Energy Staffing.
FirstTek expands beyond IT by bringing on a global energy industry staffing and solutions firm. After being on the market for 18+ months, Cenergy found a landing spot. I can only imagine how that sellers journey must have been.

Adams Benefit acquired by Higginbotham - HR Consulting.
Higginbotham financial services, insurance, and HR service provider acquired South Florida based employee benefits and HR consultant. In the release, the sellers mentioned talking with many buyers, but Higginbotham stood out for being employee owned and what can be interpreted as “culturally aligned.”

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions intends to acquire Talentscale - DoD Staffing.
I am sure there is a specific reason for why they announced the signing of an LOI ahead of actually closing the deal. Maybe it's a buyer tactic??
