HCM Acquisition News - March 15, 2024

Every week I document recruiting and HR tech M&A announcements. I add one takeaway from each deal, then share the list with you.

Why? I receive multiple recruiting and HR tech newsletters each day. These cover so many topics, I struggle to keep up with all the headlines and to quickly find the M&A stories I care about most. (You may feel the same).

So, I compile a weekly list of “Who? acquired Who?” Here is the M&A news from this week 😉:  

March 8th-15th Deals

Legal-focused Exec Search firms join forces - Executive Search.
Takeaway: Both firms have equivalent placement track records. This merger doubles the size of each company and establishes a national network for legal exec search.

Encore Technologies spins out staffing division - IT Staffing.
Takeaway: This move bucks the trend of project-based solutions businesses combining with staffing services. Both entities carry the Encore brand so maybe that is enough to still take advantage of cross selling and any shared ops services.

Hudson RPO acquires Executive Solutions - RPO.
Takeaway: This is more of an acquihire and a fast way for Hudson to expand operations in UAE.

ZRG continues M&A with another Exec Search deal - Exec Search.
Takeaway: ZRG's 7th acquisition in under three years continues their Exec Search rollup. This deal brings in a marketing and sales exec practice that lists an impressive portfolio of retained enterprise customers.
