HCM Acquisition News - Big Moves In Creative Staffing
LongBoard documents a weekly M&A brief that includes headlines and insights from leading Recruitment & HR Tech companies.
Here are 5 deals from this past week across staffing, HR tech, and consulting.
Read below for which creative staffing industry leader is making a run at Aquent’s top spot!
April 8th-12th Deals
TempStaff acquires EMI Staffing - Staffing.
Both TempStaff and EMI serve similar customers and talent across industrial and professional staffing in northern Mississippi. What's most interesting is the history and succession at these firms and the path that brought them to a deal. Two family owned and operated co's coming together.
Multiverse acquires AI talent software company Searchlight - Skill Assessment & Matching.
Searchlight brings Multiverse a skill assessment & candidate qualifying tech and some product leadership. From the outside, this deal feels familiar to other recent acquisitions of VC backed startups. i.e. A startup raised big rounds over the past 3 years. Yet to find traction. No new funds coming. So they pop onto the market for a soft landing. I may be wrong, but it’s got familiar elements.
Cadient acquired by Basis Vectors (PE) - HR Tech.
This seems like a great outcome for both parties. Cadient has been providing software solutions for the hourly hiring market for multiple decades. So they should have a good foundation to build on. Basis has an interesting "playbook" they implement for all SaaS acquisitions which essentially injects a sales and marketing engine, an outsourced development team, and a back-office/financing resources to improve profitability and jumpstart growth.
Keystone Partners acquires Center For Executive Coaching - Executive Consulting.
Keystone expands their executive coaching service by adding a network of 2500 executive coaches that CoEC has trained.
24 Seven acquires marketing/creative staffing firm Filter - Creative Staffing.
This deal has intrigue. Filter was acquired by Dentsu in 2019 and just five tumultuous years later was divested. 24 Seven is a very logical and well capitalized buyer for them. This deal likely makes 24 Seven neck and neck with Creative Circle and approaching Aquent’s #1 ranking.
