HCM Acquisition News - April 5, 2024

Q1 2024 is complete! LongBoard tracked 48 deals in Q1 among recruitment service & HR tech companies.

Here are six deal announcements from the first week of April. See which leading healthcare platform, job distribution tech, and EOR provider made the first moves in Q2.  

April 1st-5th Deals

Luttrell Staffing Group acquires Sierra Employment Services, Inc.- Staffing.
Luttrell adds generalist recruiters in two small California markets and maybe decides to keep their fax machines too.

Remote.com Acquires Equity Compensation Tool- HR Tech.
Remote, a VC backed global EOR platform, expands its offerings with a [smaller VC backed] compensation tool that makes providing equity based comp packages easier for employers hiring top global talent. 

CareerArc Acquires Recruitment Video Platform Lumina - Video Platform.
First CareerArc partnered, then they hired from, then acquired Lumina. Lumina's visual job posting product finds a natural new home within CareerArc's social media job distribution platform. I wonder how contentious or not negotiations were between both exec teams ;) 

SnapCare acquires nurse scheduling software - Healthcare Staffing.
SnapCare relaunched its brand and offerings last Fall. The addition of a nurse scheduling software follows up their commitment to expanding beyond staffing services. This acquisition also follows the trend of the “platformization” of healthcare staffing providers. 

HW Staffing Solutions acquires Top Prospect Group - Staffing.
TPG already operates in several of HW's markets. This deal expands HW's marketshare throughout the tri-state and New England markets. 

PE-Backed ServicePoint acquires IT staffing firm SmartSource - IT Staffing.
ServicePoint is in the midst of a classic PE driven rollup of other engineering and IT focused staffing and solutions providers. Other ServicePoint brands that SmartSource will join are CoreTechs and INNO4.
